Divine mercy

Divine mercy
  • Saving Dying Sinners
  • St. Faustina wrote in her Diary: “Oh, dying souls are in such great need of prayer! Oh Jesus, inspire souls to pray often for the dying” (Diary 1015).

  • To experience God’s mercy!
  • “Let no soul, even the most miserable, fall prey to doubt; for, as long as one is alive, each one can become a great saint, so great is the power of God’s grace. It remains only for us not to oppose God’s action.” (Diary 283)

  • Jesus, You take over!
  • Father Dolindo Ruotolo (1882–1970), a Servant of God, was a mystic. In his spiritual journal, we find guidance which Jesus directs towards us.

  • Children are a blessing!
  • My life was full of problems.  I wasn’t leading the life I should have been leading - first a wedding blessed by the Church, and then a sexual life together.  I thought that those things I was seeing in all the films and colorful magazines were normal, and that it was okay to live like that.  When things didn’t work out in my personal life, I blamed everything on God.  Now I know that it was Jesus himself who fought for me to change my ways and get my life together.

  • The more you trust, the more you will receive
  • Complete and unlimited trust is the simplest and most effective way to experience the merciful love of Jesus Christ, who through His passion, death and resurrection forgave us all our sins. If I keep Jesus at a distance, nothing will change in my life. Jesus will not be able to help me without agreement from my side. That is why He patiently waits for me to trust Him completely and make Him the only Lord of my life.

  • The Chaplet of Divine Mercy saved my husband’s life
  • They took my husband from one device to another and x-rayed his entire body. During all this, I was clutching my rosary and trying to pray. They offered a new diagnosis every half hour: an ulcer, inflamed pancreas, infection, etc.

  • Jesus’ greatest desire
  • “I am concerned about every beat of your heart. Every stirring of your love is reflected in my heart. I thirst for your love.” (St Faustina’s Diary 1542). Can one remain indifferent to Jesus’ declaration? How might one quench that boundless “desire” that He declared just before his death on the cross?

  • God Loves Even Me
  • Clayton Fountain committed five brutal premeditated murders. Four of them took place behind the walls of the highest security prison in the US. Advocates of resocialization threw their hands up in despair. Lawyers demanded the death penalty, saying that no one deserved it more than he...

  • The Confidante of God’s Promises – Juliana of Norwich
  • “In this same time our Lord showed me a spiritual sight of His devoted love. I saw that He is to us everything that is good and brings us comfort: He is our clothing that for love wraps around us, holds us, and completely encloses us for tender love, that He may never leave us; being to us everything that is good.” (Revelations of Divine Love, 4.)

  • Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap
  • Our life on earth is only one and cannot be repeated. God reminds us that after death, there is no return to earth for man: “Do not forget, there is no coming back” (Sir 38:21); “It is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment” (Heb 9:27).

  • Where I shall find you, there I shall judge you …
  • In 1937, Clare, a young pious girl, learned about the sudden death of a colleague – Anita – who had recently contracted a sacramental marriage, but had voluntarily quit religious observances a year before she died.

  • A touch of Mercy
  • We have been married for twenty years, we have two children. In our community we have always passed as a good, Christian marriage. This good marriage, however, went through its ups and downs and it was not free from crises ...
